10 May North Sea Jazz | Ahoy Rotterdam
As many of you know the North Sea Jazz festival will once again take place in Rotterdam between the 7th and the 9th of July. It is the world’s largest indoor Jazz festival, which offers an array of artistic activities ranging from live Jazz performances to arts exhibitions.
The Rotterdam Contemporary Art Fair will once again take place and Root will be taking part in the ‘NO WALLS expo’, an exhibition for artists who don’t let their creations be constrained by space or walls. This exposition will hold works from Jochem Esser and Philine van den Hul, two Dutch artists who, through their work, explore the boundaries of the materials they work with, and the often-surprising pieces they can create with these.
We are also happy to announce that works from Lisette Schumacher and Donald Schenkel will be exhibited alongside pieces from artists such as Marin de Jong, Niels Smits van den Burgst, Ditty Ketting and many more, in the ‘Masters of Rotterdam’ exhibition. This exhibit will focus on Rotterdam-based, contemporary painters who are seen as the successors of the Old Dutch masters.
The festival will be opened all three days between 15:00 and 00:30 and will take place at Rotterdam Ahoy, located on the Ahoyweg 10, 3084 BA, Rotterdam.
